Daniel James was booked for diving on his debut with Manchester United first-team. The young player was handed his full debut by Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer in a match against Wolves last Monday. But Daniel James was gotten a yellow card for simulation midway through the first half. Even Wolves fans were convinced Daniel James had dived earlier on the game.

But Ryan Giggs has his own opinion about what happened in the game. Instead, the former Manchester United player defended Daniel James. He insisted the Welshman would not have gone over deliberately trying to con the referee. He explained to online poker Malaysia that Daniel James gets kicked a lot. And he believed when someone anticipates a kick, it can look like a dive. He also believed with the speeds Daniel James going at it can make everything look worse.

Daniel James Try To Protect Himself

Moreover, Ryan Giggs thinks that the referees eventually need to protect Daniel James, because he gets a lot of stick during the games. But what really happened during the game was, right after he gets the yellow card, Daniel James protested his innocence to Jon Moss, the referee at the time. Sadly the referee waved away his objection, much to the delight of the Molineux crowd.

After the match, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer also made a similar argument. He claims Daniel James was trying to get out of the way of Joao Moutinho’s challenge. The Norwegian manager also said that their player never got a foul on their first one. Similar to Ryan Giggs, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer sees Daniel James as a very quick player and during the game he gets kicked so many times and it’s natural sometimes to protect himself. The manager refused to admit his young player dive on the game. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer also points out the fouls Daniel James suffer on the game. He insisted all Daniel James did was avoiding the kick.
