For the past few months reports claims David De Gea rejected Manchester United’s offer to a contract extension. The Spanish goalkeeper was believed wants to move to another club in a free transfer deal next summer. But now, all of Manchester United fans could be relieved.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and he has won Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and Europa League since then. He is now the longest player who played for Manchester United current squad.

David De Gea’s newest contract will make the Spain international earn between 350.000 pounds and 375.000 pounds per week. That amount makes David De Gea the world’s highest-paid goalkeeper. And he thinks the opportunity to continue his career with the Red Devils is a genuine honor.
